Yoga Basics Workshop

Yoga is known for many benefits including stress reduction. But for a brand new student entering class for the first time, anxiety can be at an all-time high!

This workshop will not only help calm your nerves but will help you gain skill and confidence, enabling you to reap the many benefits that yoga offers. For brand new as well as continuing students, the class moves at a slow, gentle pace in a soothing, comfortable environment.

The workshop will include:

– Introduction to basic yoga asanas (postures)
– Safety precautions / modifications
– Instruction on how to modify poses for individual needs
– Introduction to breathing and meditation techniques
– Introduction to philosophy and non-physical aspects of yoga
– Overview of various styles including Ananda Yoga
