Simple Solutions

Many of you have heard me share that I have not ANY colds or flus in over 8 years! Yes! That is correct. I swear by a simple solution to support my immune system: my NingXia Red daily dose. Every once in while, I may feel a tickle in my throat but then I just… well, read on!

So this past week… I felt a tickle/scratch in my throat. Typically, I just drink a bit more NingXia Red; add a little Thieves to some hot water with honey; and then put some Thieves on soles of my feet before bed, and of course, some for the diffuser. By morning, I’m fine! No sign of any bugs.

But this time, the scratchiness persisted, along with some sinus discomfort — and I remembered my eyes had been bothering me as well. Ah! Perhaps it’s allergies, I thought. I rarely get allergies, but every so often, symptoms show up in the fall. And I had no fever, no aches, no COVID!

So I went to the LLP recipe, aka “the Sacramento blend”: 1 drop each of Lavender, Lemon & Peppermint vitality oils in about 16 ounces of water. That helped — but not quite enough, so I went to the capsule method: 3 drops of each in a gel cap, topped off with olive oil. That did it!

Then yesterday, I really want to go to an evening event a friend had invited me to — but was afraid that “low battery” allergy fatigue was about to interfere with my plans. So I did 2 things:

  • took LLP in a capsule and
  • “took” a yoga nidra

That did it! Yes! I was refreshed and ready to go! Just to be sure I took another capsule right before leaving.

I am so grateful for simple solutions: regular practice and methods to restore well-being! I had an amazing evening enjoying chanting and a sound bath — also wonderful for healing. And was doubly blessed to enjoy it with friends and delicious food!
