How is your energy today? Have you noticed?
Often we are asked “How do you feel?” But “how is your energy today?!” — not so much! Yet, our feeling state is directly linked to our energetic state.
Quite possibly, you don’t think about your energy. That is, unless you feel exhausted. Or, you might notice a sense of nervous energy from time to time.
In yoga, the subtle life force energy is called prana. During the practice of Ananda Yoga, we learn to become more aware of prana. With practice, we learn to reclaim and redirect energy that’s been locked up as tension.
In tai chi, qigong and other traditions, the life force energy is called chi or qi.
No matter what you call it, tapping into and working with your energy doesn’t have to be complicated! Simple techniques are empowering. To that end, I’m offering 3 Energy Awareness workshops this summer. They can be taken individually if desired. Alternatively, join all 3 sessions at a discount.

Energy Workshop #1
Workshop # 1 focuses on learning about and practicing the Energization Exercises (EE). Paramhansa Yogananda brought the EE to the United States about 100 years ago. I first learned the EE about 30 years ago. I practiced them regularly for about 12 years and then on & off for a while. However, when I re-learned about their effect on the nervous system, I took them up with renewed vigor. Due to some symptoms related to my nerves, I was motivated to renew the practice. And, it has definitely made a difference!
EE practice brings many benefits. Here is a partial list:

- EM techniques to help alleviate anxiety and return to a calm, focused state
Workshop #3
Workshop # 3 focuses on experiencing your energy through the practice of yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is is completely effortless! There is no physical movement. You simply get comfortable and listen. Yet, it is so effective! And, there are so many benefits. Check out this partial list:
