Return to In-Person Ananda Yoga!

Recently, I’ve received several requests for in-person classes. So after a bit of juggling, I’m excited to announce three new series of Ananda Yoga classes at Sacramento Yoga Center.

Summer gets busy! However, with three “series” classes, you can choose what works for your schedule. Series I, II, and III can be taken separately, or register for all three. Read on to learn about each series.

All classes begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evenings at Sacramento Yoga Center. All classes are gentle Ananda Yoga, suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.


Series I: Yoga Basics

Above all, safety is key. Therefore, Series I lays the foundation with Yoga Basics to help you get the most out of any yoga class. Beginners as well as continuing students will benefit from the slow, gentle pace, enhancing awareness of breath and body. We’ll focus on safety, alignment and comfort. Bring your questions and learn to modify postures to suit your particular needs.

Join us to learn and/or review:

  • Finding safety, comfort, and alignment in basic yoga postures
  • Safety precautions / contraindications
  • How to modify poses for individual needs
  • Breathing/pranayama and meditation techniques
  • Introduction to yogic principles (the 8 limbs of yoga)

Series II: Aroma Bliss Yoga

Series III: Ananda Yoga + Yoga Nidra

Series III runs for 3 weeks, beginning August 17. Release tension with gentle Ananda Yoga followed by the restorative, rejuvenating effects of Yoga Nidra. The deeply relaxing experience connects you to the subconscious mind facilitating the healing powers within your own being. Reported benefits include:
