Yoga Basics: Get Started or Return to Practice

Brand new to yoga? Or maybe you want to review of the basics? Either way Yoga Basics helps you lay a solid foundation.

Safety is key! Learning, or reviewing, alignment principles and safety will help you get more out of your journey. Yoga is all about YOU: your body, your breath, your comfort.

Register for Yoga Basics to learn and/or review:

  • Finding safety, comfort, and alignment in basic yoga postures
  • Safety precautions / contraindications
  • How to modify poses for individual needs
  • Breathing/pranayama and meditation techniques
  • Introduction to yogic principles (the 8 limbs of yoga)

BONUS! Yoga Basics participants receive access to the ESY Content Library: a video collection of over 25 complete classes. Tap into this resource to practice at home in between class meetings.

Beginners as well as continuing students will benefit from the slow, gentle pace of this class. Become more aware of your breath, body and state of mind. We’ll focus on safety, alignment and comfort. Bring your questions and learn to modify postures to suit your particular needs.
